Anonymous said: How are the art classes at your school? What kind of classes do you have to complete to graduate? I want to transfer out of art school and get my art majors from a regular university (weird, I know) because the environment just feels better to me. Just want your opinion, thanks :) That’s not weird at all. I like the enviroment better too because it gives me the “college life” experience more so then a art school. Which is something I’m glad about choosing a regular uni rather then an art school last year. Art at my college is like art school without the snobby pretentious art students (and I really like that aspect). It may depend on the school you choose but I think you get the same experience as a art school would give you at a regular university but you get a normal college experience and it lessens the annoyance you get from art schools. But since I go to a small 4,000 student private university,I miss out on the competitive environment though. I’m just a freshman, but at my school they make me take design I/II and drawing I/II as foundation before I can go into my major. I’m also taking art history classes because at TU they force graphic design students to have a minor in art history haha. But after that I think I just have the take the classes according to graphic design to complete it (along with gen ed’s and all that too of course)
